Samantha M. Feak joined Mello & Pickering, LLP in June of 2021. In 2013, Samantha received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in international politics and world affairs from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. After graduation, she moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin and worked as an occupational health coordinator at a local hospital. In 2014, Samantha decided to go back to school and earned her Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School in 2017.
During law school, Samantha worked as a fellow for the Milwaukee Justice Center assisting self-represented litigants file for divorce, modify child support and request visitation. Samantha also worked for a medical malpractice law firm and in local district attorney's offices across southeastern Wisconsin which helped her develop comprehensive litigation experience.
In addition to her activities within law school, Samantha taught an undergraduate course in trial advocacy at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This led to her eventual membership to the American Mock Trial Association Board of Directors, where she was appointed the chair of the AMTA Foundation.
After graduation, Samantha worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee Wisconsin for over three years. As a member of the sensitive crimes unit, Samantha litigated dozens of civil commitments of sexually violent persons and other sexual assaults. Her extensive litigation experience and passion for empowering victims of sexual assault and domestic violence led her to her return to family law.
When not working, Samantha spends her time traveling and running with one of her three dogs.
