San Jose, CA is the largest city in Northern California and the tenth largest city in the United States. Its estimated population by the US Census Bureau as of 2008 is 948,279. San Jose is made up of many burrows, including Willow Glen and Almaden Valley. Given that San Jose is the county seat of Santa Clara County, many county government facilities are located in the city, including eight courthouses of the Superior Court, one of which being the downtown Family Law Courthouse.

Although there are now Family Law courthouses in both Morgan Hill and Sunnyvale, the "downtown" San Jose Family Law Courthouse is still considered to be the main Santa Clara County Family Law Courthouse. It is located at 170 Park Ave, San Jose, CA 95113 in the City View Plaza (previously called Park Center Plaza) at the corner of Park and Almaden in downtown San Jose and just down the street from Mello & Pickering, LLP.
